- Dr. S. Ramesh, MD joined Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital as chief of the Department of Anesthesiology in the year 1991 that is he has spent 35 years in this hospital. Dr. S. Ramesh oversees Anesthesia Services and Sedation across the hospital. He leads the Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital Anesthesiology team in the management of anesthesia care for the entire spectrum of surgical diseases from complex children’s surgery through Airway surgery and Neurosurgical procedures. Dr. S. Ramesh came to Our Hospital after training at the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. During his initial career, he developed an organized Pediatric Intensive care unit. He is active in numerous societies, including the Asian Society of Pediatric Anesthesiology, the Indian Society of Pediatric Anaesthesia, and the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia. He has numerous professional publications and is actively involved in teaching and training. The notable publication is the founder and author of the first All India Difficult Airway Guidelines. Dr. Ramesh has traveled widely and spent enough in various children’s hospitals in the USA, UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Toronto, and Zurich to develop the department and training program in the hospital. Dr. Ramesh Represents India for the Children of the World Anaesthesia Foundation. He is the Founder and Course Director of the Pediatric Anaesthesia Fellowship at the MGR Medical University. His main goal is to make the Children’s surgery safe and pain-free.
