Power of crowd pays Rs18L for six-year-old’s hospital bill
The Times of India, CHENNAI: Paying a six-year-old boy’s hospital bill, quite literally, took the power of the crowd. Doctors at Kanchi Kamakoti Childs trust raised Rs 18 lakh through crowdfunding to help pay Rs34 lakh for a child battling with pneumonia, dengue, infections and other complications for nearly two months. The child went home on Wednesday.

Chennai: Rotary Clubs of Madras East and San Antonio, Texas, donated a high-end cerebral function monitor, whole-body therapeutic cooling system and an equipment to start human milk bank to the neonatal intensive care unit totalling Rs 39.24 lakh at Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital, Nungambakkam, on Tuesday.
