Department of Medical Genetics
The Department of Medical Genetics offers comprehensive diagnostic services as well as counseling and management for patients with genetic disorders and congenital anomalies. We offer Clinical Diagnosis and Genetic Counseling. Clinical Genetics is a consultation service offered to all patients with genetic disorders or birth defects. Headed by a clinical geneticist and aided by trained genetic counselors, a multidisciplinary approach to care is planned for each affected child.
Genetic counseling is provided to the patients and their families educating them about the implications of their test results, the nature of the disorder and options for management.
