Pediatric Radiology
The Department of Radiology at KKCTH has been recently renovated and is one of the best in the country. We are one among the few who provide radiology services exclusive to children. Dr. Muralinath, the Pediatric Radiologist, has vast experience and is renowned throughout India. Our department functions round the clock 24 hrs a day. We provide emergency services and also have equipment to do procedures at the patient’s bed side. We also have equipments to do imaging procedures (both diagnostic and therapeutic) in the operation theatre. We have state of the art equipment designed for children and our technicians are qualified personnel who are experienced in dealing with children. All conventional radiology procedures are done according to pediatric protocol. The surgeon and the anesthetist coordinate to provide sedation if required for an imaging procedure. Therapeutic interventions like pneumatic reduction for intussusception is being done routinely with a very high success rate. All the images are stored electronically in a protected system. Results are provided immediately to the requesting doctor. Our vision is to provide dedicated and excellent radiology services to our children.
